Information Technology (IT) Manager, Armenia
ACDI/VOCA is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Manager for an anticipated economic foundations program in Armenia funded by USAID. This activity will strengthen key economic actors within both the public and private sector to exercise economic stewardship and ultimately build a resilient Armenian economy.
The IT Manager will plan, deploy, and support technology related infrastructure, systems, and products. The program is anticipated to start in 2022 and this position will be based in Armenia.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to scheduled service requests, including equipment installation/de-installation, equipment replacement, and software installation
- Provide software, hardware, and network maintenance to computer and IT system users
- Diagnose and resolve end-user PC hardware, e-mail, internet, remote access, or local-area network access problems
- Train end-users in a wide range of software applications as needed
- Install project local area networks, providing training to local users and trouble-shooting issues
- Configure servers, firewall, switches, and other networked equipment
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Prepare IT reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all relevant government, USAID, and ACDI/VOCA policies
- Coordinate the budget for IT-related procurement and the needs of the program office
- Safeguard the integrity of computer systems, ensuring data security and up-to-date virus protection
- Conduct regular backups of data, restoring as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required; A+, MCP or equivalent IT professional certification is desired.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively more responsible experience supporting users through a help desk ticket management solution in a multi-site organization using various technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems, software applications, and basic hardware for the PC; principles and theories of network systems and management; server configuration, firewall and switch configuration; internet technologies and products.
- Experience working in Armenia preferred.
- Fluency in English and Armenian required.
