Job Summary:
As a Project Officer Data Management for the Adama Project, you will conduct data management activities for the project’s databases. You will practice efficient ways to organize, store, and analyze data, in line with CRS’ data protection and privacy principles. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
Roles and key responsibilities
- Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
- Carry out day-to-day data management tasks for the Adama project databases and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to the project’s software databases.
- Formulate techniques for quality data collection to confirm adequacy and accuracy of data. Ensure that data to record against project indicators is recorded.
- Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects. Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with partner staff that align with CRS standards.
- Carry out regular data import and export for project monitoring and development of statistical reports, data visualization, including real-time reporting and trends analysis.
- Collect information on the technical assistance needs of partner organizations and monitor technical support activities to ensure effective impact.
Basic Qualification:
- University degree in computer science or relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in data management, or a related role. Experience of working for an NGO would be a plus. Additional working experience may substitute for some education.
- Experience managing large databases.
- Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data.
- Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), familiarity with Commcare and Power BI is a plus.

- Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.
