Media Manager

JOB PURPOSE

The Media Manager will report directly to the CEO and General director. Still, he/she will also work closely with the chief of staff to ensure alignment of the communication roles with the overall The Reckoning Project-TRP requirements. The position requires a creative thinker with optimal technology skills to provide various communications solutions, edition multimedia content, and execute strategies that help elevate the visibility of the TRP agenda, programs, and partners. The role will collaborate with multi-country teams (Ukraine, US, UK, Germany, and France) also to support branding and visibility and develop communication approaches and compelling content to showcase TRPs contribution to the accountability, human rights, and transitional justice agenda globally and to increase strategic partnerships. The strategies will include social marketing, global campaigns, technical content development, event planning, leadership messaging, website and social media management, and stakeholder outreach, among others.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Campaigns

· develop and implement global campaigns and strategies and monitor their success.

· Identify strategic communications campaigns that will help further TRP objectives.

· Promotion of communications and TRP media materials through appropriate digital media channels.

· Produce and disseminate social media content to showcase TRP’s efforts in accountability and peace.

Visibility

· Increase functionality and strengthen social media presence.

· Support the creation of communications material and content that support the TRP brand.

· Reach out to influencers, media, and beyond to arrange story placement on a national and global level.

· Respond to media inquiries according to guidelines and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications.

· Work with commitment-makers in the region to promote commitments and amplify TRP success stories from existing commitments.

· Provide metrics and analytics that monitor our visibility.

Internal Communication

· Work with the Global Communication team to create internal communications protocols and initiatives to foster partners’ morale.

· Support the development and dissemination of knowledge and experience through enhanced knowledge products and publications.

Content Creation

· Develop communications and marketing tools, materials, and content, including social media content, press releases, annual reports, website content, speeches, and blog posts.

· Ensure alignment with TRP brand standards in all communication and marketing material.

· Ensure consistent language, tone, and branding for all externally facing products and platforms.

Data Management

· Collect, archive, and maintain digital media content, including photos and videos.

· Other Relevant Duties Deliver any other tasks/projects assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Graduate university degree in Business Administration, Education, Communications, or in a related field
  • At least three years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • good command of English; excellent command of written and verbal Ukrainian
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong interpersonal skills: courtesy, tact, and ability to establish effective working relationships while working in a multicultural, international, professional environment
  • Highly developed organizational skills in time management, priority setting, problem-solving, and accuracy with the ability to forward plan and manage own work
  • Strong client orientation and service approach with a strong ability to deal with senior officers and prioritize competing demands
  • Precise and practical business communications skills
  • Ability to connect people

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in media and ICT
  • Willingness to work at times after hours to support meetings and events

Terms and Conditions

Please note that this position is only open to candidates with Ukrainian citizenship or other legal authorization to work in Ukraine. Successful candidates will be offered a regular contract under Ukrainian law.
