Job Overview:

The Ukrainian Services Coordinator manages intake of Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees (UHPs) and coordinates the work of staff providing services as an integral part of IRC in Boise’s Ukrainian response. The Ukrainian Services Coordinator plans and implements programming, coordinates core service delivery, supervises staff, ensures program goals are met, and satisfies budgetary, compliance and reporting responsibilities for the assigned portfolio. He/ She will develop and maintain relationships with a variety of Ukrainian response stakeholders, including sponsor families and community organizations.

Major Responsibilities:

Case Management (50%)

  • Reviews the submitted (online) Ukrainian Parolee intake forms regularly.
  • Assigns cases to housing and employment caseworkers and ensures timely provision of case management services.
  • Guides the implementation of case management services to ensure all needs-based services are completed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with other departments to encourage timely internal and external referrals.

Partnership Building (10%)

  • Collaborates with the housing team to ensure expansion of access to sources of affordable housing.
  • Maintains relationships with community-based organization with the goal of connecting clients with necessary benefits and services.

Documentation, Reporting and Contract Compliance (25%)

  • Guides the timely implementation of program updates as needed.
  • Ensures that case file documentation is maintained in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Reviews the periodic reports required in collaboration with the Economic Empowerment and Resettlement Managers
  • Leads preparation for all UHP monitoring visits including IRC, state, and federal agencies.
  • Monitor program execution to ensure compliance with all funding requirements; communicate program needs to management team.

Staff Supervision and Other Responsibilities (15%)

  • Cultivate a respectful, supportive, and inclusive environment for team members and clients.
  • Train, and manage team in accordance with IRC’s People Manager Standards.
  • Provide daily oversight of active caseload, maintaining close communication with resettlement staff regarding challenging cases.
  • Carry out timely, professional interventions to ensure responsive, appropriate, and client-centered service delivery.
  • Represent IRC in public, professional and governmental forums as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRC’s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality. Ability to lead in a way that recognizes that IRC’s work is best accomplished through the true collaboration of individuals from many cultures with a great variety of skills and perspectives.
  • At least three years of professional experience with not-for-profit and/or educational programming or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience supervising staff preferred.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Previous multi-cultural experience and proven ability to communicate well with people from diverse backgrounds strongly preferred. Ukrainian and Russian language capacity preferred.
  • Ability to lift 35+ lbs. safely.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.

Working Environment:

  • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
