Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with division director to create or enhance relationships with key business and industry leaders.
- Actively promote opportunities for those leaders, industry groups, and their organizations to visit the Church to visit Salt Lake during important milestone moments for Church outreach.
- Work closely with various organizations (to identify specific opportunities to invite businesses and conventions to have their meetings in Salt Lake.
- Help engage with national, state, and convention trade associations to share opportunities for visiting Church sites in and around Temple Square.
- Develop opportunities for existing state convention and trade organizations to engage with the Church during their events.
- Develop materials (in conjunction with relevant Church departments) that appropriately tell the story of Temple Square and the opportunity to host groups in Salt Lake City during this period of unprecedented communications and outreach opportunity.
- Prepare and edit documents, presentations, and reports for executive review.
- Manage budgets and track expenses to optimize cost efficiency.
- Become trained in Open House tour and assist in touring guests through the temple as needed
- Oversee guest lists, RSVPs, and seating arrangements for exclusive events, maintaining a keen attention to detail and diplomatic approach.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications-related field or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in areas related to public affairs, communications, marketing, media, government relations, business and industry relationships, international relations, etc.
- Requires excellent writing and communications skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with high-profile individuals and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and coordinate numerous tasks and assignments concurrently.
- Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- This is currently a hybrid role, Tuesday-Thursday in the office, and remotely the remaining two days of the work week.
- Some night and weekend work will be necessary as events dictate.
- Limited travel may be required.
- This is a time-limited position, currently set to expire at the end of 2027.
