Primary Purpose
The Data Quality Analyst works closely with the Business Intelligence team to ensure that our business has the highest quality of data to make critical and strategic business decisions. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex data quality issues while closely communicating progress & findings to management. This position is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and functionality of analytics across the organization. The Data Quality Analyst supports this objective by pro-actively developing data quality processes, alerts, and reports in addition to data and dashboard review data model code review, among other tasks.
Essential Functions
- Serve as a data steward for BI data quality, including leading the analysis of operational data quality in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Analyze BI data assets in the Snowflake data warehouse and correct complex data anomalies
- Assist with System (Source) data quality reviews as it pertains to Salesforce based objects leveraged for BI and Integration purposes
- Provide guidance and support during the data orchestration/integration process, which includes data ingestion, normalization, and QC activities
- Provide centralized data entry support for operational systems ensuring alignment with data quality standards
- Review and contribute to processes and tools in support of maintaining operational and document management systems to ensure quality and completeness
- Provide Data Quality Assurance expertise on multiple sources of data, including Salesforce, Field Service Lightning, CPQ, Zuora, Navision, Lytx, Azuga, and NetSuite
- Provide Data Quality Assurance for new Data Source mapping and normalization along with the Data Engineers/Analysts on the BI team
- Develop repeatable testing routines to expedite QA that can be used to closely monitor the recurring ingestion for ongoing QC
- Develop and maintain trend analysis for the longer term, historical quality control
- Perform analytics against Snowflake data using SQL based programming tools
- Partner with Senior BI Analysts on the team to troubleshoot dashboard quality issues; investigate data anomalies and resolve with urgency to preserve available reporting to the business
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education Level
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
in a related discipline such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or General Studies
Experience
Minimum 3 Years of Experience in data analytics, data analytics and reporting environment
Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- A data geek with enviable SQL data modeling skills and a passionate sense of ownership
- A self-starter who enjoys working in a small, rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
- Confident enough to course correct a process or team when required
- Methodical, executing through several approaches to determine the best fit
- Energized by learning even if outside the scope of day-to-day responsibilities
- Comfortable working on several different tasks throughout your workday
- Proficient in programming against significant data assets with a working knowledge of SQL
- Ability to gather requirements, test strategies, design deliverables
- Subject matter expertise in a wide variety of Salesforce data assets
- Knowledge of enterprise analytics across Ops, Sales, HR, Marketing, Finance, Accounting
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Skilled teaching and instruction capability
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
