General context of the project
Increase protection awareness among refugees fleeing Ukraine to find safe haven in Moldova and most vulnerable groups and provide access to community-based protection services delivered by INTERSOS, including PFA and specialized PSS. It also aims at strengthening the capacity of the local community CBOs in protection-related subjects.

General purpose of the position

  • Carry out protection data collection and entry activities into mission database recording all relevant protection info and demographic data on assisted refugees.
  • Ensure data quality/reliability and up to date information, according to INTERSOS protocols, and maintain confidentiality while producing appropriate and updated documents for protection activities analysis and reporting.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • In cooperation with the Protection Officer, defining the Data Collection system in terms of tools and procedures for collection
  • Responsible of building and managing the electronic Database, ensuring protection, reliability and accuracy of data
  • Supervising and managing a Team of Data Collection officers
  • Ensure that all data entered have been authorized and that appropriate documentation has been received
  • Ensure that all data entry processes occur in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure all data collected and entered to databases are consistently accurate and complete. Being responsible for ensuring that quality control queries of the database are followed up, ensure identification of data entry errors and corrections
  • Make regular back-ups of all data processed and fill documents according to INTERSOS standards
  • Elaborate statistical reports and visual materials with aggregate data to support project communications and reporting
  • Ensure, promote and maintain confidentiality regarding all information registered
  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of regular reports and provide detailed information, including quarterly, monthly and weekly reports of activities

Required profile and experience
Education
Degree in relevant field (information management, analysis, statistics or other related area)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 1 year professional experience in providing humanitarian information management support during rapid onset humanitarian crises
  • Advanced excel skills and experience with analytical software packages is an asset

Professional Requirements

  • Proven and demonstrable knowledge and experience in statistics, data analysis and/or information management
  • Ability to use a logical and structured approach to collate, manage and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative information
  • Reporting skills, experience with monitoring tools and systems, different data collection methodologies and analysis
  • Excellent skills in visualization of data and information
  • Advanced excel skills and experience with analytical software packages is an asset**Languages**
    English essential, Romanian/Ukrainian/Russian desirable
