This is a great opportunity to join the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) as the Director of UK Programmes.

In this role, you will be a critical member of the Extended Leadership Group (which is responsible for the overall management of UNICEF UK) by working to realise UNICEF’s vision for children worldwide, and to successfully achieve the organisation’s objectives to deliver income, influence, and UK impact. As the Director of Programmes you will oversee the successful delivery our three core domestic programmes, which reach millions of children across the UK every year. These programmes achieve sustained changes in major areas of policy, by demonstrating the impact of UNICEF UK rights-based approaches.

As an able and highly experienced, credible leader, your will need the significant programmes experience you have gained or are in the process of growing. You would have delivered multiple programmes and/or services within the UK. You will have successfully implemented large-scale, complex national agendas using rights-based approaches, and have effectively managed multifaceted teams, to deliver transformational and systemic change. You will also have experience of effectively dealing with the media and/or acting as an organisational spokesperson and representative.

We are gradually moving back to our offices on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London and we anticipate most colleagues will work one or two days a week in the office and the rest of the time from home. We will happily discuss other flexible options to suit your circumstances.
