Way of Hope to Life Organization
Way of Hope to Life Organization (WHLO) is a non-profit and non-political organization. It was established in 2002 by Afghan intellectual and veteran group of youth with the beliefs of meaningful empowerment and a better future is possible. It is registered with the Ministry of Economy and the registration number is; 480 WHLO, in the last 20 years implemented 251 projects where the impact of those projects is visual in lives of the affected people. We at WHLO, based on our past 20 years work experiences in the field of humanitarian and community development, strongly believe that human development and alleviation of human suffering can best be addressed and healed through humanitarian cooperation and partnership within a transparent, accountable and well-defined frame of action for common human goals and purposes.Indeed, participation, empowerment, accountability, non-discrimination, equality and legality. We as a civil society organization, strongly believe in human rights-based development and mandatory introduced since 2008 by the UN system.
Fundraising Officer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review all previous year fundraising activity and make recommendations for improvements for new fiscal year.
- Revise and update current fund development plan.
- Develop an annual calendar for the Program’s activities, including critical dates, milestones and required board actions.
- Engage in advocacy and networking for WHL Organization.
- Participate in Clusters Meetings and other fundraising activities.
- Track and report progress toward fundraising goals to the Management team and Program team. Work with Program Team together.
- Analyze relationships with current and prospective major donors and funders and develop organization strategies to cultivate or strengthen those relationships.
- Develop and build strong relationships with donors and funders.
- Along with Director and program team meet with current and prospective major donors and funders.
- Monitor & support fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective.
- Provide weekly report or day to day report for Program team and director.
- Manage request for proposals (RFP) processes and developing proposals with Program team.
- Provide management oversight and direction for program operations with focus on operational optimization.
- Develop, negotiate, and manage partnerships with the private sector.
- Update and contribute to the implementation of the methodology of UN Agencies and other Funding sectors.
- Provide research work on increasing contributions for fund-raising activities.
- Participate in the evaluation of the fundraising activity and provide recommendations.
- Assist in managing contributions, monitor flow of mobilized resources.
- The other responsibility will be assign by supervisor/manager.
