ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a national position. The Partnerships Compliance Associate reports directly to the Senior Partnerships Compliance Coordinator and under the general oversight of the Country Director, providing support to partners on compliance with Internews and funder rules and regulations.

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS are as follows – under the direct supervision of the Partnership Compliance Coordinator, the incumbent will:

  • Assist in the review of financial reports of contractors and grantees, including follow-up as needed
  • Maintain and update internal payment and cost trackers for all Internews Philippine projects’ subgrants and contracts.
  • Work closely with subgrant recipients and non-personnel contractors to collect and check mandatory supporting documentations
  • Assist with preparing payment request package to ensure the processing of payments to grantees and contractors by Internews HQ (financial report or invoice, supporting documents, narrative report, Wire Transfer Request)
  • Perform cost analysis of proposed budgets from potential subgrant recipients and contractors
  • File maintenance and administration tasks as requested

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WOULD NEED TO HAVE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience with international NGOs
  • Relevant University degree in Finance, Business, Financial Management or another relevant area of studies or equivalent lived/professional experience.
  • Familiarity with donor rules and regulations, with strong preference for candidates having experience with USAID funding
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Experience with budget management and financial reporting
  • Experience in grant writing, compliance, or program coordination for at least 5 years
