Senior Systems Engineer

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced SeniorSystems Engineerfor our client, an aerospace companyin Shelby, NC!

What you will be doing:

• Define system architecture based on the needed functionality and performance criteria.
• Create actuation system simulation models using Matlab/Simulink to forecast integrated system dynamics and operational performance.
• Design and develop control systems utilizing Matlab tools and environments.
• Draft and maintain specifications for system and component requirements, as well as system interface documents, to support the development of software and FPGA-based digital controllers.
• Conduct analyses to determine loading and performance characteristics, aiding in the detailed design of components, major assemblies, software, and systems.
• Collaborate with product development teams to assist in the mechanical and electronic design and development of equipment, from the initial proposal stage through to the qualification phase.

What you will need:

• 10+ years of professional experience
• Ability to work fully onsite in Shelby, North Carolina
• Experience in requirements management and IBM DOORS software.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink simulation modeling environment.
