About The Role

We’re searching for a Data and BI Manager to join our friendly and hard-working IT Department here at A2Dominion. This role will be responsible for overseeing the organisations data analysis and BI function. You will lead a team of analysts to ensure the availability, quality, and usability of data for decision-making purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Intelligence Development: Implement a sustainable BI framework and lead the development of BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. Ensure BI solutions are user-friendly, intuitive, and aligned with business needs
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify key business questions and requirements. Perform data analysis and interpretation to derive actionable insights and recommendations. Present findings to senior management and business leaders
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance and effectiveness of BI solutions. Identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement to improve user experience and drive business value. Implement best practices for BI development and delivery
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and BI developers. Provide guidance, support, and technical expertise to team members. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for data management and BI tools and services. Evaluate vendor offerings and make recommendations for tool selection and implementation
  • Data Governance and Compliance: work with the data governance team to ensure compliance with data governance policies, regulations, and industry standards. Collaborate with people services and compliance teams to address data privacy and security requirements

More About You

For this role, we’re looking for someone with the following:

  • This candidate must hold a relevant university degree, with focus on business, mathematics, statistics or computer science
  • A good understanding of data structures and databases
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively to non-technical people
  • Ability to manage expectations with key stakeholders
  • Advanced SQL experience
  • Proven track record of leading successful BI projects from inception to delivery, including requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, data management and ETL
  • Qualified in SQL Server Database Fundamentals (Desirable)
  • Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate certification (Desirable)
