Position Overview

The Benefits Analyst/Leave Administrator will provide end-to-end analytical and daily support for assigned benefit programs and policies that drive a best in class employee experience. This position is a subject matter expert and handles administration of US Leave of Absence and other associated time off policies. This position reports to the Director, Benefits and is located in our Shakopee, MN location.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Supports analysis, implementation, education, compliance and administration of any assigned benefit plan or policy.
  • Primary contact for Workday Benefits Business Processes for QLEs, Terminations, New hire enrollments.
  • Leave of Absence & Disability Management – Work with employees and managers to coordinate with outsourced leave administration vendor for leaves and disabilities.
  • Manage absence data in Payroll/HRIS system and administer paid time off during approved leaves.
  • Review, audit and process benefits related vendor billing and assorted HR/Benefits invoices.
  • Interacts with HR/HRIS/payroll for benefit program enhancements or updates. Performs unit testing to ensure proper program functionality.
  • Escalates important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management.
  • Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
  • Responds to employment verification requests

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • Working knowledge of benefits regulations including federal and state laws such as, ERISA, PPACA, ADA, ACA, FMLA, OSHA, COBRA IRC Section 125.
  • 3 years’ experience working in HR/benefits/payroll role
  • Experience with data entry/maintenance and reporting with HR/payroll systems
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office, Word, Outlook
  • Advanced experience with Excel including pivot table, v-lookup, macro use
  • Demonstrated organizational skills – ability to manage/prioritize daily workload
  • Sense of urgency
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team player, dependable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness and ability to work with all levels
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications

  • CEBS, CBP, SHRM certified
  • Workday Benefits and ADP Payroll experience
  • Sharepoint experience
  • Accounting experience
  • Ability to work from home (100% to start and hybrid potential with return to office)
