SAFY of Somerset, Kentucky is seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist for our High Fidelity Wraparound program who will be responsible for providing a range of moderately complex clinical services (diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, interventions, individual/family therapy, etc.) with children, adolescents and identified adults in our Somerset division.

High Fidelity Wraparound (Wraparound) is an evidence-based approach rated as “Promising” on the Title IV-E Prevention Clearinghouse. Wraparound centers on individualized care planning and coordination to support youth and families with complex needs. The core principles of Wraparound include family voice and choice, natural supports, team-based, collaboration, community-based services, individualized planning, strength-based approaches, persistence, outcome-based, and cultural competence. Essential to the success of Wraparound programming is ensuring staff are adequately trained, the program is sustainable, and there are adequate resources to support the needs of youth and families enrolled in the Wraparound program.

The proposed program aims to achieve the following outcomes for youth and families:

  • Prevention of Foster Care Involvement: By providing targeted support, Wraparound intends to decrease the need for out-of-home placements and maintain the stability of families.
  • Improved Family Functioning: Wraparound will help families develop stronger communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and coping mechanisms to navigate challenges more effectively.
  • Enhanced Youth Well-being: At-risk youth will experience improved emotional well-being, academic performance, and overall life satisfaction through the program’s holistic approach.
  • Strengthened Support Systems: Families will establish a robust network of community resources, professionals, and social connections to provide ongoing support beyond the program.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer scores and interpret assessment instruments.
  • Complete any identified diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement Service Plans based on assessments.
  • Provide ongoing mental health/clinical services as needed or are required by contract.
  • Maintain client documentation in accordance with SAFY policy and COA standards.
  • Services are provided at the level of frequency, intensity, and duration appropriate to prevent placement or achieve reunification. Services provided are tailored to each family’s needs, problems, strengths, lifestyle, and culture.
  • Submit written reports to supervisor and other parties as required timely and accurately regarding the progress of each family’s case.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports that adequately convey the necessary information to permit interpretation and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, or child & family studies is required.
  • Must possess and maintain the appropriate highest level of licensure required by the state – LMFT / LPCC / LCSW / LPCA / CSW (may be under supervision; supervision also available in agency).
  • Two years of experience in providing treatment to youth and families is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.

What We Offer

  • Targeted hiring range: $46,000-$70,000
    • (Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education, and licensure of candidate, location of position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.)
