Job Description Details:

Job Title: Field Monitoring Officer

Reported to: MEAL Coordinator

Location: Turky: Istanbul-Mardin-Şanlıurfa/Syria: Tell Abyad

Job Code:TR-SY-2301- FLD-MNT-OFF

Job purpose:

Obtaining real-time information about the project, documenting its activities, verifying its progress, and problems or emergency events, in addition to conducting questionnaires with the beneficiaries and project staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Submitting periodic reports on the progress of the project through periodic visits according to the established monitoring plan
  • Cooperate with the implementing team during monitoring without directing any notes or directions
  • Entering data into approved data entry platforms according to the type and nature of the project
  • Verify the data received from the field and prepare reports based on this information.
  • Monitor project activities daily and provide the line manager and department management with a report at the end of the day.
  • Giving feedback or point of view on the suitability of work documents for the nature of the project is monitored and the difficulty or ease of obtaining information during field visits.
  • Carry out other tasks related to the project at the request of the department management.

Academic Qualifications:

  • A university degree in a relevant field

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Highly skilled in dealing with Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive….)
  • Ability to complete surveys on the KOBO toolbox app.
  • Ability to use social media
  • Good level of expression orally and in writing in Arabic, preferably English.
