We are Compre, a leading legacy specialist in the acquisition and management of discontinued and legacy non-life insurance and reinsurance business.

Like most financial services companies, the management and analysis of data is at the very heart of our business. We have established a new Data & Technology department in 2022 with some ambitious plans, including:

  • Growing in-house development of ReSys, our core insurance system
  • Building an integrated data warehouse and increasing our capacity for new deal data integration through additional resources and technologies
  • Developing new technologies that enhance our operational capabilities across Business Generation, Claims, Finance and Actuarial
  • Establishing a deeper data and analytics capability to improve the data journey through our business and enable greater insight into our operations and data resources for value creation, including new analytical tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI.​​​​​​​

Here’s where you come in.

We are recruiting for our first Head of Data Management to play a crucial role in the success of this new team and its strategic delivery.

Reporting to the Data & Technology Director you will

  • Help to establish a Data Management team responsible for data analysis, data integration, data cleansing and data architecture
  • Act as a data evangelist, ensuring we implement and maintain best practice data management processes
  • Ensure our data warehouse is maintained and that our data procedures are effectively documented
  • Work with potential new clients to understand how best to ingest their data

To be considered, we are looking for talented individuals who show;

  • Advanced knowledge and hands on experience with Oracle Cloud and PLSQL
  • Advanced knowledge in Oracle data warehouse design, development and configuration
  • Experience in Alteryx – usage, management, and best practices
  • Solid experience of ingesting and improving data from a wide variety of one-off sources across parallel projects
  • Ideally experience of insurance/reinsurance
  • Strong team leadership skills, ensuring clear communication of objectives, performance measurements and progress to team members.
