Located in Abu Dhabi, Experience Hub works with global travel partners to design and curate holiday packages for discerning travellers to its leading destinations: Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, whilst creating itineraries that include access to world-class attractions across the UAE’s capital.

The Head of Strategic Planning formulates and develops Experience Hub corporate strategy, as well as Experience Hub’s destinations and attractions sales and marketing strategies. He ensures strategy is executed, and performance is managed through performance scorecards and business reviews, and steers strategic planning activity as well as corporate transversal projects.

Objectives of the role:

  • Create of a robust corporate strategy for Experience Hub.
  • Ensure execution of the strategy through coordination of required initiatives internally and externally with key stakeholders
  • Steer performance management through scorecards, business reviews, etc.
  • Conduct benchmarking, strategic reviews, insights, trends, long term forecasts exercises, to provide the Company with internal and external insights that guide the decision making

Job Scope:

  • Formulate and development of Experience Hub 5-year corporate strategy, gathering internal and external stakeholders’ input, analyzing current state, environment, and defining strategic priorities, targets and required enablers
  • Participate in the creation of marketing and sales strategies for the destinations and attractions promoted and sold by Experience Hub. Guide strategic priorities definition through analysis
  • Drive execution of the corporate strategy through coordination of required initiatives internally and externally with key stakeholders. Track progress, address challenges and opportunities, report risks, ensure resources allocation
  • Prepare yearly Performance Scorecards including Strategic Initiatives and KPIs. Conduct strategic reviews
  • Communicate strategy and ensure adhesion
  • Prepare and present strategic reports and quarterly business reviews for management and shareholders
  • Conduct regular (benchmarks, trend & insights, competition analysis, etc.) and ad hoc analysis that supports both strategic and operational decision-making
  • Participate in the preparation of Experience Hub Board Presentations and senior management reviews
  • Prepare financial models for new business opportunities.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Master degree or equivalent in business, marketing or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in the tourism industry (theme park, destination, tourism board, etc.)
  • A previous role in a Strategy function
  • Analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excel & Powerpoint proficiency, ability to create compelling strategic presentations
