Job Summary
Reporting to the Hispanic Marketing and Communications Manager, the Hispanic Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, disseminating, and evaluating digital marketing content, campaigns, and products in English and Spanish to increase awareness, generate traffic to crsespanol.org website, and promote subscriptions, and donations among Hispanics in the US.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
Website marketing:
- Leads day-to-day management of crsespanol.org website.
- Creates and oversees a yearly content calendar for crsespanol.org in coordination with internal stakeholders (M2, CG, etc.), ensuring consistent quality and tone.
- Works with the writer/editor (TBH) to create and curate content that increases traffic to crsespanol.org.
- Works with the writer (TBH) to ensure SEO best practices implementation for crsespanol.org.
- Works with internal stakeholders, including Annual Giving, M2, digital team, and LACRO to coordinate page builds and updates on crsespanol.org.
- Monitors and analyzes crsespanol.org monthly metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provides expert council and recommendations to internal stakeholder on website content and design best practices.
- Serves as the advisor in the agency website redesign process.
Email marketing:
- Develops the Spanish monthly newsletter in coordination with the writer and internal stakeholders to optimize results.
- Partners with internal stakeholders on execution of email marketing plans and maintains an email calendar. Monitors and analyzes email marketing efforts to provide recommendations and ideas for continuous improvement.
Digital campaigns:
- Works as part of a larger Hispanic Marketing and Communications team to develop creative digital campaigns/initiatives in Spanish and English to increase awareness, generate traffic to crsespanol.org website, and promote subscriptions among US Latinos.
- Helps adapt CRS´ institutional campaigns to reach out appropriately to the Latino audience in Spanish and English.
- Creates and executes effective Google Grants campaigns that increase traffic to crsespanol.org. Maintain a Google Grants calendar in coordination with key stakeholders.
- Ensures SEO best practices for digital campaigns.
- Creates campaign reports, as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Key Working Relationships:
Internal: Marketing and Communications, Charitable Giving (Individual Giving & Leadership Giving), LACRO region, Mission and Mobilization departments.
External: Search engine marketing (SEM) agencies, translators, and proofreaders**.**
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Journalism or Spanish-language or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two to three years of progressively responsible work experience in writing, editing, and managing content for electronic publications in both English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with project management and design best practices.
- Experience with website content management systems and strong knowledge of HTML
- Proven web-based writing and editing skills
- Experience with email marketing
- Understanding of website and email metrics; ability to interpret results and act to increase effectiveness
- Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish and English
- Strong understanding of US Hispanic market and culture, influences, and traditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Demonstrated working knowledge of: (1) Catholic Church organizational structures and (2) Catholic Social Teaching.
- Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point
