ROLE TYPE: Part-Time (20 hrs/wk)

JOB OVERVIEW:

Joseph J. Peters Institute, a nationally recognized provider serving child, adolescent, and adult survivors of trauma as well as perpetrators of sexual abuse, seeks an Intake & Program Support Coordinator for the Safety & Responsibility Program. This position supports outpatient activity, conducts outreach, completes intakes, facilitates the scheduling of intake appointments, completes chart audits, and collects, evaluates, and disseminates performance data. The Coordinator reports to the SRP Operations Manager. This individual works 20 hours per week and must maintain a steady work schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding referral details and collection of important participant information.
  • Evaluate and determine payer information for incoming evaluations.
  • Schedule evaluation/intake appointments with the participant or appropriate guardian.
  • Complete intake and all necessary paperwork for all incoming participants.
  • Under general supervision, coordinate case management activity in the Youth and Adult Safety and Responsibility Program.
  • Assist supervisor in providing administrative support to clinical staff.
  • Facilitate tracking of all participants being admitted/maintained in SRP and YSRP.
  • Collect, evaluate, and disseminate performance data relative to specified quality improvement programs within the outpatient clinic.
  • Assist the Operations Manager as needed.
  • Assist other facility departments as needed.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to meet timelines
  • Ability to communicate in writing and orally
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and basic computer skills
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Have completed 40+ college credits at an accredited institution, preferably in a related field
  • Preferred: Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with human services systems
  • Knowledge of resources available to staff and clients that enhance, coordinate, and complement the services provided at JJPI
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in the field
