BACKGROUND

An International non-governmental, and non-profit organization which has no political association working in various fields of humanitarian relief and development. IYD was established in early 2013 and obtained licenses in multiple countries under the name

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The overall objective of the training is to build the capacity of staff of in strategic management and leadership filed, learn how to think and plan strategically, the concept and levels of strategic management, learn how to use strategic management for leaders.
The trained staff members will further apply their skills in project/program management, development and implementation in the given dynamic humanitarian context, to come up with quality projects having greater impact in the lives of those we serve.

SCOPE OF WORK

The assignment is to impart 5 working days in strategic management and leadership skills and how will further utilize the skills learnt. From 5 to 9- August 2024

The training is aimed to achieve following objectives:

  • Learn the concept and importance of strategic management for humanitarian field
  • Learn the levels of Strategic management process
  • Analysing the internal and external factors and environment in humanitarian sector
  • Using Balance score card in strategic management
  • Identify the strategic situation
  • Models of Strategic management
  • The relationship between the leadership and strategic management,
  • Leadership concept, importance and approaches,
  • Communication skill at Strategic Level
  • Building effective teams
  • Motivation, Engagement and influence.

METHODOLOGY:

  • Deliver using a blended learning approach and might comprises of presentations, interactive sessions of practical exercise and group works.
  • Practical sessions using case, individual or group exercises will be given to participants after each session to make sure that they can apply what they have learnt into practice immediately.
  • Participatory training methods such as brainstorming, simulation, group discussion and case analysis.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

  • Following deliverables are expected from the training provider:

    • The trainer will prepare agenda/contents/sessions of the training and submit these at least one week before start of the training.
    • The trainer shall conduct pre-test from all participants of the training.
    • The trainer will also share complete package of training material that may be provided to the participants.
    • Trainer will facilitate preparation of training follow up and action plan
    • After the completion of the training, the trainer will share comprehensive training report on the agreed format within 10 days after the completion of the training.
  • LOCATION:

    • The location will be in Turkey Gaziantep, at office
  • TIMEFRAME

    • This is a short-term assignment for Firms/ consultants based in Turkey for a period of 5 days training from 5 to 9 -August -2024
  • DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The trainer/consultant/resource person will:
      • Sign with IYD a consultancy agreement and work as a resource person for the days training event.
      • Discuss and agree with IYD on the final training package, content and deliverables.
      • Design an appropriate process of the training leading to the desired results.
      • Propose on the most appropriate training methodology for effective delivery of the assignment.
      • Device the tools required for each session of the training.
      • Satisfactorily facilitate the training sessions and ensuring active engagement of all the participants.
      • Share relevant training materials and provide any resource materials for further reading and reference by IYD staff.
      • Design a questionnaire for pre and post-test (to be used before and after the workshop) for workshops to gauge the level of understanding of the participants about the topics discussed in the training workshop.
      • Compile and submit quality training report (one soft copy)
  • SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    • The resource person/consultant should possess following qualifications and expertise:
      • Proven experience of conducting similar training,
      • Professional Experience: Experience in strategic management roles within reputable organizations.
      • Share the technical proposal, understand and respond to the ToR, share training methodology.
      • Advanced university degree in Management sciences/development science.
      • Strong communication, analytical and drafting skills
      • A demonstrated high level of professionalism and an ability to work independently and with multiple.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • Consultant/resource person/ firms are required to submit their technical and financial proposals the IYD HR department on given link.

TECHINCAL PROPOSAL: with weight 80%

  • The technical proposal should include but not limited to the following information:
    • A brief outline of recent experience and client references in carrying out assignments of similar nature (Max. 1 pages)
    • Detailed description of how the consultant/firms understands and will respond to the ToR including time frame and number of persons involved in and comments on the ToR (Max 2 pages)
    • Curriculum Vitae of trainer

FINANCIAL PROPOSAL: with weight 20%

  • The financial proposal must contain overall quotation in Turkish Lira (TRY) for all the services to be provided and must follows the following:
    • An all-inclusive day rate who will take place in assignment
    • Summary of the total costs for the services proposed
    • Any taxes applicable
    • Bank account

PROPOSED PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

  • 100% of the payment will be released to the trainer on week after completing the training.
