Payrate is $17.50/hour

The work schedule is 9 am to 5 pm, working 5 days a week including working every other weekend.

The Neighborhoods at St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant who will provide support to the elders in carrying out social activities that promote opportunities for recreation, exercise, social interaction, growth and learning

The Neighborhoods at St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation and Nursing Center provides a comprehensive array of individualized rehabilitation and nursing services, including short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, memory care and in-patient hospice care. The work schedule is 9 am to 5 pm, working 5 days a week including working every other weekend.

  • JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Completes initial activities assessment on each resident within 14 days of admission.
  • Ensures adequate documentation that complies with federal, state and facility standards for neighborhoods and elders. This includes but is not limited to chart audits and documentation of elder’s attendance at all functions.
  • Creates community through maintaining “home” in the physical environment, maintains a sense of welcome through elimination of institutional barriers, enhancing relationships in the Villages through shared activities of living.
  • Works with the Neighborhood Guides, Elder Specialists and elders to plan programs/activities based on the elder’s needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Transport elders to and from activities.
  • Prepares and distributes monthly calendars and post menu in dining rooms

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Two (2) years of activities development and implementation experience in a senior long term care setting required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening.
  • Basic knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as managing Outlook calendar, email, and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to act with discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism in all situations.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate activities as appropriate.
  • Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e., Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook skills required. Other Microsoft Office application knowledge, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive desired.
