About The Unit
The Energy & Environmental department is part of Yara’s Global Plants and Operational Excellent (YGP) and reports to the SVP of Yara Project and Technology (YTP)
The department is responsible for driving YGP’s strategic initiatives to improve Yara’s environmental footprint in close collaboration with other units. We drive and manage Yara’s decarbonization and non-GHG environmental efforts.
The department is responsible for supplying and producing precious metal catalyst gauzes and N2O abatement catalysts to Yara’s nitric acid plants. In addition we are responsible for the toll production of N2O abatement catalyst in Poland, and external sales of this catalyst.
The Energy & Environmental department presently consists of 12 persons in various locations. The catalyst team consist of 4 employees. To strengthen our team we are now looking for a Logistics Specialist to support the operation of the N2O abatement catalyst business.
Responsibilities
- Administrative follow up the production plan in Poland (sourcing and purchases of raw materials) and external catalyst sales
- Handling the delivery of N2O abatement catalysts both to Yara’s plants and to external customers
- General use of SAP for logistics and sales
- Financial reporting for the N2O catalyst abatement business
- Business plan preparation and collaboration with YTP finance and Yara’s plants
- Support function towards the precious metal pool business
Profile
- Bachelor in a relevant subject. Relevant experience can compensate for the lack of formal competence
- Experience with logistics and accounting
- Experience from production company is an asset
- Commercial understanding and experience in handling business partners, sales and contracts
- SAP knowledge: procurement, sales and production modules
- Interest in learning from and working with a highly technical team
- A team worker who is curious, self-driven and independent
- Fluency in English is required. Norwegian and/or Polish languages are an asset
