Medical Records Specialist – Remote

Aston Carter is currently looking to hire a medical records specialist for a specialty group in the Jacksonville area. This position is remote (work from home). Working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Pay is *weekly* at $14.00 – $16.00. Ideal candidates must have prior work history of medical documentation, use of EMR systems, and medical terminology. There will be no interaction with patients in this role. • Description:*
• Review existing paper or electronic medical records to extract designated chart elements to place in a new or existing electronic health record or quality report.
• Use electronic health record software systems within projects to meet the client’s chart abstraction data points and productivity requirements.
• Track and record all completed work in the internal systems for billing and auditing purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA, federal, state and local regulatory laws and standards
