Austrian Red Cross

The Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Programmes Coordinator. The delegate is coordinating the implementation of programmes for conflict affected people in Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) as well as other Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and external partners.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Supervise monitoring and evaluation of operations to ensure the overall implementation
  • Ensure the planning and development of high-quality concept notes, project proposals and budgets
  • Enable and oversee effective, efficient, timely and coordinated implementation of all projects
  • Ensure effective and transparent planning and use of financial resources in compliance with AutRC and donor regulations
  • Coordinate programme personnel and contribute to capacity building of staff
  • Support in developing AutRC´s country level strategy and actively contribute to the strategic review process
  • Oversee implementation of partnerships including management tools, and other resources as needed to effectively manage partnerships
  • Support URCS in developing HR and programme implementation capacities and sustainable services
  • Ensure mainstreaming of cross-cutting agenda (such as protection, inclusion) across all activities

Your profile

  • At least 3 years’ operational management experience in international humanitarian and/or development programming (NGO, IO or Charity)
  • Degree or diploma in international development, business management or other relevant discipline
  • Solid experience in project development and implementation, capacity building and management with a local implementing partner
  • Coordination, communication and planning skills, experience in donor reporting, accountability, and compliance
  • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding security environment
  • Very good English skills, Ukrainian, Russian and German skills are a strong asset
  • Strongly motivated by humanitarian and development work, and high sensitivity to diversity
  • EU citizenship or permanent work permit for the EU required

About the job

  • Job location: Kyiv, with frequent travel in country
  • Start of employment: as soon as possible
  • Duration: 1 year, with option to extend
  • Working time: full-time
  • Compensation: depends on qualifications and experience, minimum monthly all-in salary of € 3.600,00 gross
