Yoga and Sports with Refugees

Yoga and Sport With Refugees is looking for a new project coordinator for the teacher team!

Yoga and Sport With Refugees (YSR) was born in October 2017 on the island of Lesvos, Greece, in response to the massive need for healthy safe spaces, the sense of community and a place to work on mental and physical health. In September 2020, we expanded to Athens. Every day, in our gym in Kypseli and outdoor, we offer around 20 different sports activities to approximately 400 people. Our model is unique with over 70 of our past and current coaches coming from a refugee background.

Unfortunately our teacher coordinator in Athens, Aref, is leaving. Therefore, we need a new on the ground coordinator here in Athens to work with Fatemeh and Claude as soon as possible.

Capacity building and skills training is also at the heart of our strategy and you will be involved in strengthening and improving the teacher support and capacity development program, together with the coordinators in other locations, as well as the director.

This includes organizing training, meetings, team building activities and finding solutions to address individual needs. You will also work on strengthening and improving the teacher support program with the wider YSR team. If you are a people’s person, are organized and love working on individual development, then you are just who we are looking for!
