Overview of Position
- CTG is looking for an experience Project Assistant for our operations in South Sudan.
Role Objectives
- Perform specialized and/or standardised processes & activities within the specific technical area of work or specific project, supporting alignment with wider logistics operation, policies & guidelines.
- Assist in project management & / or general office support following established targets & the client’s policies & procedures.
- Within the specific area of responsibility or project, compile data & support analysis & preparation of reports on project status & performance in order to support operational decision-making.
- Perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work following corporate standards & guidelines.
- Work & exchange information with internal & external counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation & monitoring of ongoing project activities.
- Support communication & activities with local partners, agencies, NGOs & govt. institutions.
- Support as point of contact for resolution of project queries on the ground.
- Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure the client is able to quickly respond & deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Expected results:
- Key accountabilities implemented & achieved in a timely & high quality manner to ensure strengthening of systems & measurement across the client’s logistics operation.
Project Reporting
- The Project Assistant reports directly to the Project Lead.
Key Competencies
- Completion of secondary school education.
- 3 or more years of progressively responsible work in program, logistics operations.
- Proficient in the use of office equipment & computer software packages, such as MS Word.
- Knowledge of work routines & methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
- Uses tact & courtesy to give & receive information to a wide range of individuals.
- Ability to identify data discrepancies & rectify problems requiring attention.
- Fluency (level C) in English language.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including substantive analysis.
- Knowledge of operations & emergency response best practices, systems & processes.
Team Management
- This role has no team management responsibility.
