Psychologist or Social Worker – Remote Cognitive Behavioral Therapist

Summary:
Reporting to the Team Leader of iCBT, you will offer interactive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT) to a varied clientele on a digital platform. After an initial assessment conducted over the phone or through video, you will assign structured CBT modules to the client. Your responsibility will be to monitor their answers as they progress through modules featuring videos, educational content and exercises.
Responsibilities:
- Contact clientele by phone to initiate the process, develop and document an understanding of their health condition and the factors that support or inhibit recovery;
- Assess risk and severity with the use of assessment tools;
- Provide any of the following interventions if required:
- More in-depth assessment;
- Referral to psychological and / or occupational therapy organizations / services;
- All other related tasks.
- Provide follow-up of case files using the provided clinical models;
- Provide quality clinical services and case management protocols;
- Adhere to our culture of continuous improvement of skills;
- Attend team meetings and occasional trainings.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work;
- Member of the OPQ or the OTSTCFQ;
- A social worker must be registered as “psychotherapist” with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec;
- 2 years post-graduate counselling experience in a mental health or disability management setting;
- Certificate or course in CBT – asset;
- Experience assigning and treating an adult population with clinical depression, anxiety disorders and personality disorders;
- A clinical based cognitive-behavioral model approach expertise;
- Bilingualism in French and English either written or oral;
- Aptitude to manage crisis or high risk situations (suicidal or homicidal thoughts, domestic violence, child protection, public protection);
- Capacity to evaluate an addiction and co-morbid conditions – asset;
- Computer skills (Over the phone and web-based video-conferencing);
- Reliable high-speed internet is required.
