Job Title: Residential Program Manager (Two Openings)

Location: Ability Beyond – Based in Danbury, CT and New Milford, CT

Salary: $60,000 per year

Schedule: Flexible, Sunday-Saturday, typically 8 AM – 4 PM

Position Overview:

We’re seeking two Residential Program Managers to join our team, offering direct oversight and support in our dynamic residential programs:

  • Supported Independent Living Program (New Milford, CT): Oversee apartments in New Milford and individualized apartments in Danbury, assisting individuals with disabilities who live independently but require services for parts of their day.
  • Licensed Residential Program (Danbury, CT): Manage 24/7 group homes for individuals with mixed disability needs, including behavioral and medical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to direct support staff, ensuring quality of services
  • Oversee daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals served
  • Serve as primary contact for vendors, guardians, and other stakeholders
  • Address issues proactively and ensure program compliance with policies
  • Coordinate scheduling, participate in audits, and advocate for residents’ needs

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in human services, with a background in direct care preferred; assistant manager experience a plus
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of a varied schedule and commitment to DDS Developmental Disability Services
