The Role
Working as part of a multi-category communications function, this role is responsible for developing and implementing communications plans and activities which enable the delivery of both operational and strategic plans. You will ensure that our partners, colleagues and support office teams have the information and tools they need to provide the Specsavers customer experience, and are informed, engaged and inspired.
At every opportunity, this role will bring to life the Specsavers tone of voice and brand personality.
The Experience
- Develop and implement communication and engagement plans in support of both short and long-term business objectives
- Create open communication channels with key stakeholders to inform and update. Build trust and respect by creating strong relationships that allow healthy debate, challenge and influential discussion
- Act as a communication partner who advises, supports, and delivers as required, the communication of business activity and change within the UK, ROI and Spain operating region
- Work with the Events and Partnership teams to deliver the UK, ROI and Spain events calendar for partners, colleagues and support offices
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement by embracing change and proactively seeking opportunities to innovate and create greater efficiency and effectiveness of communications materials and channels
- Contribute to the success of the Communication and Engagement team, providing support as business needs arise and contributing to team planning and thinking
Essential Skills
- Proven business partnering / relationship management capability focused on delivering business outcomes
- Experience of developing, managing and delivering measurable communications plans in support of business needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and foster a sense of community amongst members of matrixed accountability groups
- Highly developed project management and organisational skills
- Advanced business and creative writing skills
- Ability to travel as required. On average you will need to be in one of our offices (Fareham, Nottingham, Guernsey) 2-3 days most weeks

Ideally, you will already be based in Guernsey or willing to relocate. We do operate regular flights from Southampton and East Midlands airports so can accommodate flexibility for candidates around these areas.
