Overview of position:

  • CTG is looking for qualified staff as mentioned below in the TOR.

Role objectives:

  • In accordance with UN standards, manufactures requirements & local regulations, install, test & maintain telecommunications equipment, antennae, transmission lines & alternative power systems mounted on high structures, including radio towers & guyed masts.
  • Assess installation requirements, plan & participate in the on site preparation, supervise worksite activities.
  • Perform installations, test installed equipment & perform fault finding.

Project reporting:

  • This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies:

  • Minimal 5 year rigging experience.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Experience in customer services & the ability to provide a professional interface with the user community.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work outside normal working hours if required.
  • An industry recognized certification for heights works is required.

  • This role has no team management responsibility
