Reports to: Immediate Supervisor, Dan Carriero – Global Creative Director

Summary/Objective:

Develop an overarching social media strategy for Smile Train’s US and global handles across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok

Work closely with the SVP of Communications, Global Creative Director, and Director of Content Strategy to gather and disseminate compelling, strategic social media content that aligns with the overall communications team’s social media strategy and editorial calendar.

Act as the point person for regional teams and support regional requests and projects, including amplification of local events on global social media channel

Serve as the focal point for monitoring and documenting social media feedback for the organization’s internal tracking system. Provide monthly social media reports that contain insights and analysis about content performance, consumer audience/behaviors on social media, competitor insights, and best-in-class industry examples to inform the overall social media strategy and course correct as needed.

Oversee social media associates’ efforts in executing the social media strategy, support their professional development and growth, and Smile Train.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage social media associates and interns.

Travel: Travel may be required to gather firsthand social content.

Required education and experience:

Qualified candidates would have experience managing a social media department, which includes a proven track record of moving the needle to increase viewership. This candidate would be comfortable managing a direct report and possibly a summer intern.

Preferred education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in communications or related fields.

Additional eligibility qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have an eye for photography and photo-related software, which is a visual medium. We are also looking for a candidate who is comfortable writing copy for posts.
