Social Media Specialist (volunteer)

Indigo Volunteers

We are looking for a Communications Specialist interested in volunteering to support displaced communities. Your main tasks will include building and maintaining organisations’ social media presence, creating content and developing campaigns, and networking with other humanitarian organizations and NGOs to increase outreach and connectedness. Depending on the current needs, you may also be involved in implementing and analysing performance metrics, providing internal monthly reports, tracking social media traffic flow, or creating collaborations with influencers.

For this role, you should be available for at least 2 weeks. There is an opportunity to also volunteer remotely, or do this as an internship in the field, developing your communications skills in an international context and gaining first-hand knowledge of the work of grassroots organisations in the European region.

Depending on your level of experience and the time you can commit to the project, free accommodation can be provided as well as a small stipend.

The minimum age to volunteer with us is 18.

Skills: Proficiency in English is required, as well as previous experience in social media strategy and community management. Experience working with various content formats such as videos, podcasts, etc is an asset.
