Overview of Position

  • CTG is looking for qualified candidates for the below mentioned TOR.

Role Objectives

  • Analyse technical data of communication systems.
  • Do propagation analysis & advice on frequencies for HF, VHF & UHF communications.
  • Based on knowledge of radio equipment & radio propagation, initiate & direct actions to avoid conflicts in frequency assignments.
  • Maintain & administer the mission’s frequency records.
  • In a coordinated matter, allocate frequencies according to bandwidth needs & availability, regulatory requirements & propagations factors.
  • Review & assist to solve interference problems.

Project Reporting

  • This role reports to the line manager.

Key Competencies

  • Minimal 5 year experience in spectrum / frequency management.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizing & writing skills.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge & skills to UN personnel.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Experience in customer services & the ability to provide a professional interface with the user community.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work outside normal working hours if required.
  • Industry recognized certifications are an asset.

  • This role has no team management responsability.
