Syria Relief & Development (SRD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by violence, hunger, poverty, injury, and displacement. Our Mission is to provide crisis humanitarian relief and plant the seeds of sustainable development for the people of Syria. Our Vision is to maintain humanitarian relief and mobilize resources to develop a comprehensive agenda for sustainable development in Syria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow the procurement process documentation and ensure compliance with SRD policy within the timeframe of each process.
- Implement SRD procurement policies for items and services procured.
- Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
- Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements on demand.
- liaising and negotiating with agencies and suppliers.
- Analyzing logistical and procurement problems and producing new solutions.
- Creating database and maintaining information about the suppliers, vendors and purchased items
- Maintaining Vehicle logs for all trips & all vehicles maintenance logs.
- Performing logistic tasks as required by Line manager.
- Reporting tasks and issues to management as needed.
- Coordinating on delivery of services with inside Office`s logistics staff.
- Try to find the best solutions for problems with no violation of SC policies and share his ideas with superior managers.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor or Diploma in business management or accounting or economy, engineering, or any related degree.
- General Work Experience: Preferably 2-5 years of experience in logistics and/or distribution and supply chain management.
- Able to organize the storage and distribution of goods, ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost.
- Also, have good experience in transportation, stock control, warehousing, and monitoring the flow of goods.
- Languages: Good in English and Arabic (writing –reading –speaking) – Turkish language will be desired.
- Computing: Proficient in Microsoft Office including excel, word, outlook etc.
- Warehouse management/supply chain systems (desired).
- Other skills: Communication skills, Time management. Team Management, Procurement, and negotiation.
- Transport management. Purchasing, costing
Abilities:
- Understanding of the whole supply chain.
- To work extra time as needed.
- Organizing and archiving goods /documents.
- Establish material quotations.
- To show commitment to the mission of SRD as an organization
- To demonstrate commitment to high professional, and ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- To communicate with local authorities and customs in the country.
