The Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) is offering a job opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Team Leader for Western Ukraine. The Team Leader has the overall responsibility for the implementation of emergency relief and bilateral projects in the respective region and provides support to the capacity development of regional branches of the Ukraine Red Cross Society (URCS).
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the AutRC team in Western Ukraine, including technical delegates seconded by Partner National Societies
- Represent AutRC towards URCS, ICRC, IFRC and other PNS partners, as well as local authorities and other relevant stakeholders in the respective oblast
- Support the URCS regional branch in needs assessments as well as the implementation of humanitarian activities in the oblast, including Relief, WASH, Cash and Voucher Assistance and Community Health
- Identify mid- to long-term support to develop core services of the URCS branch in cooperation with RCRC partners
- Develop program documents, including budgets with the support of the AutRC Representative in country and the AutRC HQ
- Lead program implementation and ensure financial supervision and quality standards, especially in the area of cross-cutting issues, amongst other protection, gender and inclusion (PGI), community engagement and accountability (CEA) and environmental sustainability
- Develop and implement a monitoring mechanism and report progress regularly to the AutRC Country Representative
- Ensure a proper security set-up for the AutRC in the oblast under the ICRC security umbrella
Your profile and skills:
- Austrian (EU) work permit
- At least five years international humanitarian and/or development experience (NGO, IO or Charity) at program management level, management experience in the RCRC movement is a strong asset
- Degree or diploma in development studies, project management or a relevant field
- Strong experience in people management, managing and supporting staff
- Profound project and finance management skills (including budgeting and budget control)
- Excellent English skills, German, Ukrainian and/or Russian would be an asset
- Ability to work under pressure and lead a multicultural team in complex and demanding environments
We offer:
- Job location: Uzhhorod or/and Lviv
- Start of employment: June 2022
- Duration: minimum 4 months, with option to extend
- Compensation: depends on qualifications and experience, minimum monthly all-in salary of € 4.115,00 gross
