Compensation: $65,560 to $76,735

About the position:

The Treasury Manager, along with the Sr. Director, Treasury and Investments, is responsible for the operations of the treasury and cash management for Americares worldwide.

Key Outcomes:

In the first 90 days, the Treasury Manager will ensure accurate maintenance of bank accounts, balances, bank/Treasury systems, and bank cost information.

In the first 6 months, the Treasury Manager will (1) implement a strong and reliable cash forecasting process, (2) evaluate new banking products and services, and (3) assist with efforts related to implementing a new ERPx.

In the first year, the Treasury Manager will (1) assist with efforts related to implementing new technological innovations including banking, payments, and credit card processing, and (2) assist with the documentation, communication, and training of staff on all applicable policies, procedures, and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes appropriate banking transactions per Accounts Payable request to process transactions or payments on the online banking system
  • Performs wire transfers and reviews bank activity reports to ensure that all payments made by and to the organization are processed appropriately
  • Assists with cash, bank, and account reconciliations, as well as fix any unresolved discrepancies using transaction reports
  • Processes foreign exchange transactions to be approved accordingly
  • Assists with the booking of treasury-related transactions and/or journal entries
  • Assists in onboarding of staff and Foreign Offices to ensure Treasury functions and policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Other duties as assigned

  • You have demonstrated experience, knowledge, and understanding of treasury and accounting principles
  • You have experience with ERP implementation
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
  • You have the ability to travel to Stamford, CT 2-3 times per month
  • You have language in at least one of our core languages: Spanish, Tagalog, Hindi, Kiswahili, Haitian Creole (this would be a plus, but is not a requirement)
  • You have US work authorization (required)
