Description
In this role, you will work closely with our procurement centers in the entire purchasing process of supplies and P2P item master maintenance; ensuring contract compliancy and assisting in product research to warrant the greatest cost savings. You will be cognitive of best practices as they align with that of material management and providing direction and support to the center’s daily functions while focusing on efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities
- Place agency orders per the Material Management system as needed; Confirm orders for availability and pricing; relay backorders and product substitution to the center as needed.
- Process and complete item add request within designated P2P platform adhering to product attribute and formulary standards thru the use of Vizient/Provista analytical tools.
- Research and identify relevant data sources; incorporates understanding of business drivers into analysis.
- Define requirement dashboards and reports that enable information sharing with stakeholders.
- Answer methodology and data source questions from internal teams through use of available data sources, documentation processes, and data methodology tools.
- Research and resolve pricing disputes; submit contract disputes as needed.
- Assist customers with any samples/backorder/shipping/vendor issues as needed.
- Ensure excellent customer service through active communication and feedback with customers: not limited to questions, concerns and inquires; also upholding relationship with vendor reps on centers behalf.
- Suggest product cross overs to enhance contract compliance/product savings; work cross over reports with centers.
- Monitor ordering process and suggest best practices to better align for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Contract product validation per new item request.
- Negotiate with sales reps on non-contracted pricing on centers behalf to ensure maximum cost savings.
- Offer ongoing product offering education and updates as applicable to cost savings.
- Extract ENVI history/data as needed to complete product research/tasks/administrative reports.
- Manage distributor/vendor changes as needed to ensure a smooth transition.
- Assist customers in finding capital equipment and other products research as needed.
- Provide ongoing ENVI training/education as needed, along with ongoing Best Practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to material management for the centers.
Requirements
- Relevant degree preferred. 2-year degree or 1-3 years of prior experience in healthcare office setting desired.
- 2 or more years’ experience required.
- Knowledge of medical products preferred.
- Proficient with computer applications and programs such as Outlook and Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Access preferred.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Self-starting ability; dependable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize to ensure all tasks are handled efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Must be able to act independently to research and resolve product/customer issues.
Estimated Hiring Range
$51,900.00 – $75,150.00
