UE08 £43,414 – £51,805 per annum

Information Services, Applications Directorate, Enterprise Architecture.

Open-ended, Full time – 35 hours per week

The Opportunity

To lead a team of ETL developers, data architect and MI analysts in developing strategic reporting data marts, to enable the provision of consistent and meaningful BI information across the University. To set team priorities, agree deliverables, manage agile working, and enhance team processes. To design the data schemas used by MI Analysts for them to use with BI tools and to contribute to strategic discussions relating to the BI strategy and architecture.

This position is offered on a full-time basis with an open-ended contract. The team is based in a large, modern office in central Edinburgh. We currently support hybrid working and you will have the option to work remotely for up to 4 days a week if you wish.

Your Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Experience delivering quality BI and data warehouse solutions.
  • Experience leading an ETL team using agile development methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a flexible approach to problem resolution and an ability to deal appropriately with changing requirements.
  • Ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivation to work for the University.

The Applications Division develops, implements and supports IT to meet the complex and demanding needs of the University’s staff and students.
