We’re looking for­­­­­­­­­­­­­ Instructional Designers in Organizational Change Management to join our growing team.

Centric Consulting’s National People & Change practice is seeking seasoned Instructional Designers who have at least 3-years of instructional design experience and have developed and delivered training for system implementations and strategic change or talent initiatives, to join our growing team. These consultants will help assess, plan, develop, and deliver learning for change initiatives involving areas such as process redesign, systems implementations, and business and IT transformations.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop trusted relationships with client leadership and other influential individuals within the client organization.
  • Quickly understand the client’s business, situation, and desired outcome (s).
  • Coach the client on learning best practices, lessons learned and trends, while designing a tailored learning solution that delivers value to the client and meets the client’s needs and expectations.
  • Utilize instructional design tools and methods to analyze, plan, develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate training programs.
  • Conduct in-depth, front-end job/role needs analysis to identify knowledge, skills, and competencies required to complete job/role tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Work successfully with the client and subject matter experts to develop needed instructional design materials and determine the best ways to deliver learning.
  • Create the following deliverables : training standards and guidelines; training plan/curriculum/schedule; user manuals; training presentations; facilitator guides; participant guides; role-based work instructions; day-in-the-life scenarios; job aids; storyboards; and learning evaluations.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including communications, scheduling, participant-to-course mapping, user ID’s, attendance sheets, etc.
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions, as well as support or deliver end-user training.
  • Partner with the client to determine priorities; build and implement a tailored learning work plan; identify and resolve/mitigate risks/issues; and keep client apprised of progress.
  • Leverage appropriate eLearning and/or video capabilities.

A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • Knowledge and experience with various Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Design and journey mapping, driving change leadership or change management.
  • OCM principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g. Prosci, Kotter, LaMarsh, etc.) where able to work side-by-side assessing, building, and executing tailored learning and development plans and understanding OCM principles.
  • You MUST have 3+years of business/industry specific instructional design experience with a proven learning track record.
  • Consulting experience is strongly preferred. We work closely in the communities our business unit’s support.

  • Because we work with clients, excellent communication skills are important – both written and verbal. Translating technical concepts into layman’s terms is an essential skill. Practicing active listening skills to ensure the client feels heard and then build and fine-tune learning solutions leveraging what you heard.
  • Initiative is important. We don’t hand hold – you should be comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment. That said, collaboration is equally important with us, the client and the project team.
  • You should be someone with the spirit of an educator and thus gets excited about mentoring and sharing knowledge with others.
