IT Specialist

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced IT Help Desk Specialist on behalf of our client, a reputable organization located in West Chester, OH!

This position is pivotal in providing first-level problem determination and resolution for various hardware and software issues. The IT Help Desk Specialist will be responsible for documenting and updating standard processes, problem escalation, and supporting a range of devices and software, including Windows, MacOS, iOS, Office365, and Adobe.

What you will be doing:

• Providing first-level support for hardware, software, and application problems, resolving issues with available tools and following established procedures.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues on Windows, Mac, and iOS platforms with equal proficiency.
• Accurately logging problems and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
• Obtaining and conveying problem information for further support from internal and external personnel.
• Maintaining and updating Help Desk documentation, including recommending modifications to improve procedures.
• Identifying training opportunities to enhance computing support and performing coaching and mentoring on technology products.
• Gathering and inputting data for regular Help Desk reports.

What you will need:

• High School Diploma required; A+ or Net+ Certification preferred or demonstrated progress toward certification.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively by phone or in person.
• Strong initiative and ability to act independently to resolve problems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion.
• Experience with Windows, MacOS, iOS, Office365, Adobe, and Active Directory preferred.
