Job Title: Marketing and Fundraising Assistant

Location: Gaziantep -Turkey

Reported to: Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator

Job purpose:

Will be responsible for providing clear, relevant communications to members and stakeholders using a range of digital platforms and gathering information and data for funding and policy initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing Co-ordination

  • Supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator in maintaining and updating Bonyan’s Marketing and Communication Action Plan and producing progress reports as needed for partners.
  • Research, brainstorm, and generate creative techniques to enhance and improve the action plan publications.
  • Coordinating production of Bonyan newsletter to the donors and other periodic publications.

Media and Social Media

  • Managing and operating Bonyan’s SMM (Social Media Marketing) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing), and developing Bonyan’s online presence moving forward.
  • Supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator in generating media coverage for Bonyan activities and projects. (5% of the tasks may be inside Syria).
  • Working with the fundraising team on creative elements and event promotion.
  • Copywriting and storytelling.


Working with the Management Team to improve and add resources to the website. Authoring content for Bonyan’s website. Posting content authored by other Bonyan teams.


Supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator by researching useful information on funding and commissioning opportunities that will allow Bonyan to bid for new projects and widen the range of services it provides.

Donor Care

Work directly with donors on tasks such as updating or canceling recurring gift information, sending acknowledgment letters, processing donations, and other common requests.

Financial Reporting:

Preparing monthly financial reports of income and outcomes of the fundraising department.


Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

Academic Qualifications:

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Computer Sciences is preferred for this position.


  • Willingness to learn and apply what he/she learned.
  • Strong skills in digital media and MS Office skills.
  • Great analytical skills.
  • Able to demonstrate professional English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to take initiative.
  • Capable of maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and precise, and maintain accurate filing systems.
  • Capable of handling and controlling multiple projects.
  • Demonstrate a strong “team player” attitude.
  • CSS and HTML knowledge is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to Syria and work flexible hours, occasional evening and weekend working.
