Job Description

This position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all God’s children. The Inform manager manages all content to assist members and leaders make purchasing decisions within the Church’s sales channels (retail, online store and call center) world-wide. The incumbent is responsible for the creation, editing, coordination and production of all content used within the channels. The incumbent will manage a team of 3-5 inform specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Develop inform/awareness strategies for key products as determine by product and buying teams
  • Review current inform campaigns for weaknesses and develop solutions within budget constraints
  • Lead and train Inform/awareness associates
  • Partner with product development and buying teams to estimate product demand
  • Presents inform materials such as brochures, displays, or websites to gain alignment across various team to ensure that they accurately portray the Church’s mission, goals, and services
  • Provide support for the customer experience by monitoring product performance and user satisfaction; defining, exploring and understanding customer needs by researching industry best practice; working with department product sponsors to present products to facilitate the sale of products and inform the customer.
  • Maintain and develop the master content calendar for all channels of business; manage product road map of future enhancements.
  • Hires, reviews, disciplines and trains inform staff on cultural beliefs, product knowledge, merchandising, annual goals, and operational procedures
  • Meet regularly with Product Manager, Information Technology Manager, Human Resource Manager, and the Publishing Service and Church Communications Departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, English, Technical Writing or related field required
  • 7 years experience in managing content and production for high traffic website
  • Ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • PC and data manipulative skills, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Communication, presentation and organization skills
  • Working knowledge of HTML, XML and experience with web content tool such as IBM Websphere Commerce Management Center
  • Must be familiar with Six Sigma or continuous improvement practices or be willing to attend training in the first year of employment to better understand these principles
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This is largely a sedentary role, requiring some bending and standing as necessary
  • Language skills preferred
