About Us

God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of its clients. All of the agency’s services are provided free of charge.

About the Role

The COO at God’s Love oversees all Operations and Logistics functions (Delivery, Kitchen, Inventory, Fulfillment, Program Services, Operations Projects, and Facilities). The Operations and Logistics Project Manager (O&L Manager) supports the COO to make time management, information and decision processes more effective. The person in this role will help manage the COO’s diverse portfolio of commitments in addition to executing some initiatives independently. The O&L Manager will ensure effective and timely collaboration across departments. As a core member of the COO’s management team, the O&L Manager will support projects across the COO’s portfolio to achieve both tactical and strategic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative and operational support to the COO including
  • Scheduling/coordinating meetings and travel for the COO
  • Writing and reviewing emails, contracts, memos and presentations to brief the COO
  • Conducting relevant research to prepare meeting briefing notes and presentations
  • Analyzing data regarding client and meal growth, scenario planning and logistics
  • Model scaling and scenario planning in support of near term and long range expansion strategy
  • Other administrative and support duties, as required
  • Support and/or lead projects and initiatives as delegated by the COO, helping drive cross-departmental collaboration across the Operations and Logistics functions
  • Act as liaison to strengthen relationships and facilitate required outcomes across the Operations and Logistics management lifecycle
  • Establish meeting agendas, timeline and accountability mechanisms to ensure that follow-up actions are clearly articulated and completed
  • Supporting the COO’s portfolio, ensure God’s Love priorities and concerns receive timely and productive attention and resolution, keeping the COO informed as to status and any risks
  • Identify barriers along critical work priority paths and problem-solve to overcome them
  • Contribute to product learning agendas and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure success
  • Prioritize operational needs while balancing our commitment to volunteer service and consistently high quality client service

In addition, the right candidate meets the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a logistics function; experience managing a supply chain function preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management
  • Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with change management
  • Strong proficiency in analyzing data and creating data summaries
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage projects and deliverables successfully and timely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to understand and articulate complex issues to individuals at all levels
  • Ability to foster effective communication, collaboration and accountability across teams, communicating directly and with patience and diplomacy
  • Strong proactive problem-solving skills with a desire to take initiative and critically analyze processes and translate findings
  • Experience successfully identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ability and desire to perform at both the strategic and tactical levels
  • Strong organizing skills and attention to detail
  • Consistently able to deliver solutions with a high sense of urgency without sacrificing quality of work product
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity in managing confidential and sensitive information
