We are hiring a Short-Term Post Hospitalization Program Administrator to provide support and clinical oversite to clients and counselors in various programs. In this role, you will be responsible for individual and group supervision, professional development and case consultation to Counselors and program staff. You will provide these services within your established area of responsibility in accordance with relevant licensing regulations, agency policies, procedures and practices as well as within all contractual obligations related to the program.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for all clients, provide individual and group counseling, and work with staff to ensure medical necessity.
- Maintain records for all clinical services that meet health plan standards for quality and compliance.
- Become competent in the agency’s electronic health record systems and utilize for documentation and recordkeeping.
- Participate as an active member of the clinical team, create program workflows and systems to increase program staff efficiency and fidelity to program(s) model, attend program staff and county meetings and staff development as required.
- Provide individual and group supervision, professional development, and case consultation to program staff (management/Counselors, Case Manager and/or Navigation). Support creating and/or updating training manuals, training program managers and staff of new CALAIM requirement and/or Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System including intake process, documentation, billing systems and compliance reporting.
- Review Treatment plans and diagnosis using ASAM and/or ANSA criteria and CalAIM Facilitate group treatment that may include DBT, Seeking Safety, and others as needed.
- Become thoroughly oriented to program and Buckelew Programs policies and procedures, as well as health, education, social services, legal, and other resources in the community.
- Assist with other needs as required supporting clinical services.
- Data management, program evaluation, billing, treatment authorization and reporting support to implement dashboards, data reporting system to track outcomes, service delivery and financial performance relevant for programs assigned.
- Collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and community partners, ensuring all components, such as service integration, data management, reporting and compliance, are executed effectively for various contracts as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Education and Experience: Must be Licensed MFT, LCSW or psychologist. Education and experience consistent with establishing and maintaining licensure with licensure of not less than a minimum of 2 years. Five or more years’ experience in a mental health agency providing similar services as a mental health clinician skilled in working with a wide range of child and adult mental disorders including crisis management, with at least two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity supervising other mental health clinicians and/or trainees/intern, preferred. Experience and/or understanding of evidence based and best practice treatment modalities including motivational interviewing, CBT and Trauma Focused CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety, PCIT, and others. Knowledge and experience in working with multi-cultural populations.
Skills and Abilities: Must be fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in an independent, organized, calm and reassuring manner using good boundaries and good judgment; to be reliable, dependable and flexible; and to accept supervision, suggestions and feedback. Must have interest in working with persons with a behavioral health disability. Ability to work within all the rules, regulations, and policies that govern agency compliance. Organized, responsible, professional, able to work on many projects simultaneously, to be flexible, empathic and able to relate to clients, other professionals, and the general community. Skills MS Office (including Excel, Word and Outlook) at not less than an intermediate level. Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Credible or similar) strongly preferred. Must have excellent oral and written skills, and the ability to communicate with both internal and external contacts. Must be a positive team player. Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license with an insurable driving record and insured personal car to use on the job. Must be able to pass Live scan fingerprinting background check.
Physical Requirements: Physically capable of the following intermittent activities: listening, talking, seeing, stretching, bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting, reaching above and below the shoulder, pushing, pulling, grasping and lifting up to 25 pounds in weight. Physically capable of the following extended activities: driving, writing, standing, typing, and sitting.
