Senior Consultancy to lead the development of a Conflict Sensitivity Toolbox and Training package

Danish Refugee Council (DRC) – Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding sector (HDP) is looking for a consultancy to lead the development of a DRC Conflict Sensitivity (CS) toolbox and training package.

The comprehensive and easy-to-use CS toolbox will contribute to DRC’s global efforts in applying CS to both cross-country/office operational decision-making. On max 30 pages it will contain firstly guidance covering the project cycle and addressing operational decision-making and secondly annexed generic tools & templates that can be easily adapted for use in specific country contexts.

The CS training package will include workshop agendas, hand-out materials and e-learning modules. The products are meant to contribute to DRC’s mainstreaming of conflict sensitivity as a global operational principle to be applied across all areas of work.

The expected number of days to complete the assignment will be 30 working days and the timeframe will be the period between October 24th and December 15th, 2022. The Assignment is fully remote and can be conducted from the consultant’s home location.

DRC HDP is looking for a consultant with a minimal experience of five years in CS training and guidance development, including experience applying CS to humanitarian programming. Among others also excellent writing abilities, fluency in written and spoken English as well as strong expertise and demonstrated track record in guidance and training/tool development are required.
