Location: Covering East Midlands (Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Northamptonshire)
Hybrid role working between home and office (Grantham, Nottingham or Northampton)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours per week: 35 Monday-Friday but we’re open to flexible working
Salary:£25,357 – £33,217 per annum depending on experience

About this opportunity

As Senior Regional Fundraiser, you will be responsible for building and nurturing excellent relationships with supporters and volunteers, including local fundraising committees and presidents, to increase engagement, income and long-term support.

Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Manager for the North and Midlands, you will work with the wider Regional Fundraising and Events team and staff across other departments and services (Crisis Response, Refugee Support, Independent Living and Mobility Aids) to maximise relationships with our supporters and raise our local profile.
You will be the face of British Red Cross fundraising locally, working with all communities to deepen supporter engagement with the cause. Taking advantage of emergent opportunities is key, whilst contributing to and delivering against annual budgets, objectives and the Regional Fundraising and Events strategy.

A pro-active approach is therefore essential, as well as the confidence and ability to work both independently and across different teams.

Regional Fundraising at the British Red Cross is exciting, fast-paced and varied. From pitching for corporate partnerships and writing bespoke trust applications, to responding to emergency appeals – this role offers lots of opportunities to work across different income streams, whilst really honing your skillset for activity that drives ROI.

It’s an exciting time for the team, as we further innovate within the Gaming and Streaming space, develop new mass participation products and diversify our portfolio of audience-led fundraising products.

Whilst this role is hybrid working, some travel across the area, particularly during emergency appeals is required.

You will have the following skills/experience…

Fundraising for a charity as a Corporate, Community or Trust fundraiser, or working on mass participation events.
You can create and identify new fundraising opportunities and see them developed and fulfilled.
Managing and motivating others (inc volunteer management)
Preparing, working to, monitoring, and reporting on targets.
You are a confident, persuasive communicator, experienced in dealing with groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds, both via telephone and face to face.
Ability to lead and motivate people while leading change and the ability to delegate effectively, meeting deadlines and performance targets.
You can write clear and appropriate communications which are appealing and easy to read and understand.
You understand the importance of excellent stewardship, ensuring it’s a priority area throughout your work.
