This role is based in Chicago, IL and will support the organization by significantly expanding our sober active community in Chicago and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a familiarity with project management, budgets, and facilitating events and presentations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- With support from regional and national staff, significantly expand our sober active community in Chicago and surrounding areas
- Engage in frequent stakeholder communications, initiating and maintaining partnerships and volunteer relationships with recovery-focused individuals and other relevant local organizations
- Build a strong base of volunteers who will lead the majority of Phoenix events
- Manage and support activated volunteers in the region and work with a local contractor
- Lead presentations for outreach and partnership development
- Assist with the online presence of the chapter
- Engage in face-to-face relationship building (approximately 50% of the time) and work evenings and weekends as needed
- Occasional regional and national travel
- Complete other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of relevant work or volunteer experience, including management experience (partnership, volunteer, or program management, leadership, etc.)
- A strong aptitude for community relations and a willingness to initiate introductions with potential partners
- Ability to facilitate events and presentations
- Proficiency with tech platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Asana
- Comfort with managing up and communicating ideas and recommendations clearly and convincingly
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
PREFERENCES

- Familiarity with budgets

- Fluency in Spanish

SALARY AND BENEFITS
- $61,600.00 – $68,600.00 annually

The Phoenix offers free programs, both in person and online, for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety.
