Here at Action For Humanity, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team based in Istanbul. You will join us on a full-time basis in this challenging and rewarding role.

As our Business Development Manager, you will work with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to identify and develop new business and funding opportunities, playing a proactive role in reaching Action For Humanity objectives. You will play a strategic role within Action For Humanity, and will be responsible for developing new and existing partnerships. This will entail developing positive relationships with an array of stakeholders, such as members of the public, private and third sector in order to secure funding, raise awareness of Action For Humanity and promote Action For Humanity’s work.

Your responsibilities as our Business Development Manager will include:

  • Developing lasting and profitable partnerships with new and existing donors
  • Identifying and cultivating growth opportunities
  • Proactively managing budgets, monitoring and reporting on institutional and corporate partnerships and high net worth individual income generation to ensure income targets are delivered.
  • Identifying and researching potential prospects to provide sufficient information for an informed approach
  • Collaborating with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and implementing business development strategies and produce tailored new business propositions that align to IIHV’s core mission.
  • Leading the programme and proposal design processes for institutional funding opportunities
  • Delivering increased visibility of the Action For Humanity brand
  • Creating and delivering engaging proposals and pitches that are tailored to potential new opportunities and donors
  • Working with and building strong relationships with institutional, corporate and high net worth donors in Türkiye.

What we are looking for in our Business Development Manager:


  • A strong secondary school education. Ideally degree educated, preferably within a Business, Management or related discipline. Masters within humanitarian/ international development field desirable


  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience of successful fundraising and the development and implementation of strategies
  • Experience of building relationships and managing client contracts
  • Experience of working to and developing income targets
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing new business strategies, models, products and processes with excellent results
  • Experience working within a fast past environment and working as part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a variety of audiences in a clear and inspiring way

  • Fluent written and spoken Turkish essential
  • Strong spoken and written Arabic is essential
  • Strong spoken and written English desirable
